Installation and SHA-256 verification

Download matching images and checksum companions from official GitHub Releases. Back up your data and test in an isolated VM first.

The published v0.1.0-dev release is a developer preview, not an installer-certified stable OS. Create a fresh empty AMD64 virtual machine; suggested test resources: 4 vCPU, 8 GiB RAM, 64 GiB disk.
  1. Back up important data and check hardware and firmware compatibility.
  2. Download the matching image and checksum companion only from the official GitHub Release.
  3. Run sha256sum -c filename.iso.sha256 alongside the image and independently verify source trust.
  4. Install in an isolated VM first, reboot and verify network and disk safety before controlled hardware trials.
Use only a newly allocated virtual disk: the installer may erase the selected target. If installation fails, stop. Do not try on production servers, existing drives or the mail VPS.

Next steps

If something breaks during install, collect the reproduction steps and your target hardware details and open a GitHub issue; attaching the install log makes the problem much easier to pin down.

Developer preview: build provenance, signatures, upgrade rollback and commercial hardware certification remain incomplete. Not for critical production use.
